Civista Bank's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Team

At Civista Bank, our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Council subcommittees bring our mission to life through focused efforts that drive meaningful change. From celebrating diverse perspectives to championing community engagement and workplace inclusivity, these teams work tirelessly to ensure our culture reflects our core values of teamwork, compassion, integrity, excellence, and flexible. Together, we’re not just creating a better workplace—we’re fostering a brighter, more equitable future for all.




Employee Resource Groups

Civista Bank has built two Employee Resource Groups for employees to join.


Women in Business Employee Resource Group (WIB ERG)

The purpose of the WIB ERG is to empower women and allies across our footprint to achieve their professional goals and develop leadership skills through education, mentorship, and networking opportunities. We aim to provide a space for women to share experiences, exchange ideas, showcase their talents, and collaborate on initiatives that contribute to the overall success of our organization.

From this ERG, an Internal Podcast was born, a resource center for women was created, and many topics that resonate with working women including:

  • Personal Branding
  • Self-Love
  • Stress Management & Mental Health Awareness
  • Communication & Etiquette Skills and so much more


Innovation ERG (ierg)

The purpose of the Innovation ERG is to provide an environment where employees who are passionate about innovation can research, develop, collaborate on and propose new ideas – no matter how big or small; with the goal of discovering improved, even radical, ways of adding value to our customers and our team.

Innovative ideas are more than just new technology, but creative ways to problem solve and accomplish the same task or function that adds value to the customer, the employee, and the bank. Through the iERG employees get an opportunity to:

  • Brainstorm Ideas
  • Review & Test New Technology & Software
  • Hear from Guest Speakers such as current vendors, new vendors & industry leaders

The internal podcast will encompass all Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and committees. This will help keep employees informed by the voices of our council and committee members.


Communication IconColleague Connections

A program designed to create a more inclusive environment at Civista. Colleagues are paired with new hires to assist in onboarding, answer questions, and share their experiences.



These groups play a critical role in bringing our vision to life, and we encourage employees to get involved.
