In principle and in practice, Civista Bank values and seeks inclusion and diversity within our organization and within our communities. My DEI 'why' comes from my love for people and my passion for seeing them grow and succeed. I believe in creating opportunities for everyone to thrive, fostering an environment where diversity is celebrated, and equity and inclusion are foundational. By supporting others, I aim to inspire growth, amplify voices, and help people reach their full potential. I am looking forward to helping lead the council with grace and intention.

DEI is a safe space, and I feel that nobody should be afraid or ashamed to reveal who they are or who they love for fear of being rejected. My “Why” is simply in the words Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. If we all lived and worked with people who were all the same, carbon copies of each other, it’d be a very boring and depressing existence. Instead, I strive to be part of a group that celebrates and supports individuality and works towards the common goal of bringing different groups of people together to achieve great things.
