To Be Held at the East Perkins Branch on December 3rd, 2019
Sandusky, Ohio (November 26th, 2019) – Civista Bank will mark the start of the holiday season with a Tree Lighting Celebration on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2019. The celebration will be held at Civista’s East Perkins Branch, located at 2100 East Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Civista invites the public to join in the merriment and help the bank kick off the holiday season.
Starting at 5:30 p.m., there will be fun festivities for the whole family, including hot cocoa and cookies. Children will be able to make a fun holiday craft, create a Christmas card for a Veteran and listen to story time, which will be provided by the Erie MetroParks. Families can also listen to Christmas carols, performed by the Sandus-Keynotes and Bell Choir, leading up to the lighting of the tree at 6:15 p.m.
The tree at the center of the celebration was planted more than 55 years ago by the Peters family; a local family who previous farmed the land where Civista’s East Perkins branch now stands. When building the branch, James O. Miller, Civista Bank’s Chairman of the Board, recognized the significance of the tree and felt it was important to preserve it so that it could be kept for all to enjoy for many years to come. This year the bank is excited to celebrate the tree lighting.
A special thanks goes to the Sandus-Keynotes and Bell Choir and the Erie MetroParks for their participation in the tree lighting celebration. The Erie MetroParks offers over 500 free programs every year. Whether it is kayaking, archery, guided hikes, or children’s programs, there’s something for everyone in all seasons. Parents and children can join the Erie MetroParks every month for their “Enchanted Story Time” program.
